Is there any way the board can control the excessive amount of dogs that bark in the subdivision since the owners are not bright enough to tell them to be quiet? It should not be everyone else's problem to deal with. Also, I would love to see roosters on the "not allowed" list of animals. This is a beautiful area, and people need to control the noise their animals make so it doesnt disturb the peace, or simply dont own animals. Roosters are not pets! The people that live on Memory Ln (I believe at 7680) Dont EVER tell their dogs to be quiet, so they will bark for hours.

This area is not considered farm land idiot. This is still a residential community where neighbors need to have common courtesy towards others which apparently you dont have. So just because you tune out the noise, doesnt mean everyone else needs to!! You need to move to Paulden or Ash Fork where you fit in more. This is an awesome community that doesnt need members that dont care a bit about their neighbors, and become a nuisance to them. As for the animal sex, it is what it is. If I cant hear it, they can go to town all they want.

Want to thank New Member for their post on June 17th regarding barking dogs, as well as Gimme a break Guest on July 23rd. As for the rebuttal from neighbor with dogs and rooster... I have no words. I realize it's easy to say what you want behind a wall of anonymity.
We've been here just over a month and we are surrounded by almost constant nuisance barking. It's unbearable. We wish we hadn't bought our house and had we known we wouldn't have. So 'neighbor with dogs...' I don't live next to any farms, and even if I did it's too late for us to bail on our purchase. There's no excuse for animal owners to not be responsible and respect our right to quiet enjoyment.
I've looked into Animal Control's process and I'm not hopeful. But plan to try. One of the things they recommend doing before contacting them is to see if there are regulations contained in the POA rules. And that's what I'm doing. I'm guessing I won't find anything. We were so excited to move to Arizona and purchase our first acreage. I just never thought I wouldn't be able to walk my property, or let my Lab out, or walk down to get the mail, without having my auditory senses being assaulted. There ought to be a law.

Another thought: I just took a closer look at the CC&R's. Searched on the word noise. Nothing. Searched on barking, and excessive. Nothing. Searched dog. Here's what it says.
All livestock, poultry and domestic animals shall be maintained so as to avoid creation of a hazard or nuisance to owners of other Parcels.
In my mind "shall be maintained so as to avoid creating of a hazard or nuisance" should cover incessant barking. No?

Does anybody know if there is a limit to how many animals/ livestock is allowed out here? We have a neighbor that has 10 cows, a few horses, ALOT of chickens, goats, dogs, etc… We live on 5 acres, seams a little excessive for this community.

Found this in CCR SECTION J regarding Livestock and Poultrv. Horses, cattle, and domestic animals are allowed to be kept on the Property in REASONABLE numbers. The casual breeding of animals for profit is permitted. The commercial raising of livestock is not permitted. All areas maintained for livestock and poultry shall at all times be kept clean and odor free, with all manure removed on a regular basis. Practices which are an endanger to ground water over the long term will n.ot be permitted. Parcel on Fletcher / West side needs to be told this….just saying.
